Dr. Fernanda Onofrio, MD, FRCPC, MSc. PhD

Dr. Fernanda Onofrio is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and a Clinician-Teacher in the Department of Medicine at UHN. She completed her training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology (2010-2014), followed by master’s and PhD in Hepatology (2013-2018) from the Post-Graduate Program of Hepatology of the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre, Brazil. Dr. Onofrio then, pursued a Clinical Hepatology Fellowship (2018-2020) at the University of Toronto, followed by the Clinical Transplant Hepatology Fellowship (2020-2021) in that same university. Her primary clinical focus is to manage patients with Alcohol-related liver disease with a special interest in integrating care with other related specialties to offer patients a more comprehensive approach to their liver diseases.
